Changing to Website

Hello ladies,

Actually, I've decided a blog isn't what I was really looking for. The website works best for me so I've chosen to open one at www.treasuresbooks.bravehost.com. I'll discontinue this in time so please visit my website and favorite it for your next visit.

Bless you with an encouraging day.

Student of the Word
"Give Me thy heart," says the Father above,
No gift so precious to Him as our love;
Softly He whispers, wherever thou art,
"Gratefully trust Me, and give Me thy heart."
~ Eliza E. Hewitt, 1851 - 1920 ~

Three-year-old Carla was forever busy with studies. Some days she’d be propped on a step poring over a magazine much beyond her mental abilities. Often, with pen and paper she wrote long detailed notes. Each line was completely full of scribbles that meant something, some item she had gleaned from her vigorous searching. Many times she could be found in her little rocking chair with her feet resting on an upside down laundry basket. Her shoulders humped forward and her face down, buried in a book. Sometimes she jotted notes while other times she “read” her most intelligent make-believe story out loud.

How often I asked the Lord to guide Carla as she grew older to be this kind of student of the Word. My longings for this tiny girl when grown up would be that she search the mind of Christ, call on His name and jot notations of His messages in devotional journals. In my heart I knew not one of my prayers would be wasted.

I want to know Christ.
~ Philippians 3:10 ~
